How to sell a digital gift card in Lightspeed R-Series

Offer a digital only experience in Lightspeed R-Series with gift cards that are delivered via email and integrated across sales channels.

If you do not have physical gift cards for purchase in-store or you would like to send an e-gift card to a customer, you can generate a digital code to send directly to their email address.

  1. In Lightspeed, begin by adding a customer to the sale.

Note: Ensure there is an email address attached to the customer account so they receive the e-gift card.

2. Once the customer has been added to the sale, select Gift Card.

3. Add the gift card amount and click "generate a new gift card code". This will return a new code - seen below under gift card results. Click "Add to sale".

Note: Do not check the electronic delivery box. This uses the native Lightspeed gift card functionality and will not pull the code into Wrapped.

The customer will receive their gift card email as they have already been added as a customer to the sale in Step 1.

4. Once the card has been added to the sale, select the desired payment option and finalize the sale. This will send the digital gift card to the customer and sync the code into your Wrapped account.
