Setting up Wrapped store credit as a custom payment type in Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series)

To issue omnichannel store credit and allow customers to pay using their store credit balance, you will need to set up a Wrapped store credit payment type in Lightspeed Retail POS.

🔒The Wrapped store credit feature must be enabled on your account to use this feature. Contact our team if you would like to have store credit enabled.

Follow the steps below to configure the Wrapped store credit custom payment type.

  1. From the Wrapped dashboard, navigate to Settings > Sales channels and copy the ID of your connected X-Series sales channel
    ​

  2. In Lightspeed Retail, go to Payment types

  3. Click Add payment type

  4. Choose Other payment method and click Begin setup

5. Give your new payment type a clear name like Wrapped Store Credit.

6. Enter into the Gateway field:

https://manage.wrappedgiftcards.com/pos/vend/storecredit/{copied_sales_channel_id}

Note: the {copied_sales_channel_id} is the ID copied in step 1 above.

7. Click save payment type and it will appear in the payment types list.
