Connecting Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series)

Additionally, Wrapped supports integration across multiple platforms and locations, providing a unified gift card management experience for businesses operating on Shopify, and multiple Lightspeed POS setups.

Prerequisites: Enable gift cards and expiry in Lightspeed

If you do not have a Lightspeed Retail account, you can sign up here.

First, please make sure gift cards are enabled in Lightspeed. Wrapped uses the in-built gift card system in Lightspeed.


If you intend for any gift card created or synced from Wrapped to have an expiry date, then you'll need to enable gift card expiry in Lightspeed too:

Connecting Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) to Wrapped

  1. In Wrapped go to Gift card > Settings

  2. Under Sales channels, click Add more sales channels

  3. Next to Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series), click Connect

4. You'll be taken to sign in to Lightspeed Retail using your store URL and then confirm the connection.

5. Click Connect

You'll now see in Wrapped, you have Lightspeed connected. Toggle the switch to enable the channel if it isn't already turned on.

Testing the Wrapped - Lightspeed Retail integration

To quickly check your Wrapped - Lightspeed connection, you can:

  1. Create a test gift card in Wrapped under Gift cards > Issue gift card

2. Click Issue and activate

3. In your Lightspeed POS > Sell screen, search your products for Gift card

4. Paste in the gift card code to find the one you just created in Wrapped

You should see the gift card has been created and synced to Lightspeed successfully.

5. Remember to Void the test gift card in Wrapped after testing
