Wrapped works to sync gift cards across Lightspeed Restaurant POS (K-Series) and online. Watch here to see how Wrapped works with Lightspeed K-Series or read on to see integration steps.
Connect Lightspeed Restaurant (K-Series) to create a new gift card payment type that can be issued through your POS and used both online and in-store as a payment type.
Note: If you operate multiple K-Series restaurant locations, you will need to do the following instructions for each location.
1. Add Lightspeed K-Series as a sales channel in Wrapped
In Wrapped go to Settings > Sales channels
Click +Add more sales channels
Next to Lightspeed Restaurant POS (K-Series), click Connect
2. Create WRAPPED payment method
In your K-Series back office, navigate to Payment > Payment Methods and click the Add Payment Method button.
Set the type to "Other payment method" and set the Code, Name, and Accounting reference to WRAPPED.
Hide the WRAPPED payment type from the POS. Go to POS > Configurations, select your configuration, then select Payments and uncheck WRAPPED from the accepted payment methods (it should appear white/disabled as below).
The payment type needs to exist but should not be visible to staff - Wrapped will use it automatically when processing reward redemptions.
3. Set up the Wrapped Web Extension
Copy the Web Extension URL from your Wrapped account K-Series settings.
Return to Lightspeed and navigate to Operations > Web Extensions and click the Create Web Extension button.
Paste the Web Extension URL into the URL field and check Add a JavaScript context to the page, as shown below.
Now go to Menu > Menu Management and select your current menu. Add a button that points to your new Web Extension so staff can access it from the POS.
Click Update & reload devices
This menu will then be updated with your web extension so staff can access gift cards.
Note: If you have multiple menus, please follow the same process to add the Wrapped gift cards web extension to all your Menu screens.
4. Find and save business location ID in settings
In your Lightspeed K-Series back office, navigate to your home screen.
Click your business name in the top right hand corner (next to the date) and copy the Business location ID value.
In Wrapped, paste this into Business Location Id field.
You will need to set up the Gift Card Product detailed in the next step before you can save these settings.
5. Create "Gift card" product in Lightspeed and update Wrapped settings
Navigate to Menu > Accounting Groups and click Add an accounting group button.
Name the accounting group Gift cards and set the Tax Profile to tax exempt.
Check the box to indicate items require number of covers, as below.
Create your gift card product in your POS. This product will be used to sell and top-up gift cards. Navigate to Menus > Item List in your K-Series admin.
Click Create and choose Single item.
Under Details > Basics:
Set Item name to Gift card
Set Accounting group to Gift cards
Change Price Type to Manually-entered price
Click Save to create the gift card product.
Return to the item list and select the newly created gift card product. Copy the Product ID from the URL, as highlighted below.
Paste this into your Wrapped account K-Series settings under Gift Card Product ID and click Save.
6. Request Real-Time Order Notifications from Lightspeed support
Finally, you'll need to request access to order notifications. Contact K-Series support team to enable real-time order notifications.
⚠️ Important: This step is crucial, without real-time order notifications, Wrapped will be unable to sync orders and process gift cards from your K-Series account.
Copy your unique Order Webhook URL from the sales channel settings
Contact the K-Series Support team via:
a. In-app chat: Click on the chat icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your K-Series admin, create a conversation related to Integrations
b. Support email: k-series.support@lightspeedhq.com
Copy the template to send to their team, remember to paste in your unique Order Webhook URL:
