Gift to a friend page

When a customer buys a digital gift card online or their email is added to a gift card sale in-store, they receive an email with the gift card and a button to Gift to a friend.

Keep the Gift to a friend button in your emails to ensure customers can complete the gifting process.

On this page the customer can choose from your design selection (if you have multiple designs available), add a message, and record a video message (if you have video messages enabled). They can also send the gift card to the friend's email now or schedule it for later.

To customize this page:

  1. Go to Customize > Assets > Gift to a friend page

  2. Card images are the design options you can offer customers to choose for a special occasion, such as a birthday, thank you, or congratulations gift. You can create custom card images that fit with your brand and upload them.

    • Click Manage, then deselect/select any of the default card images.

    • Upload your own by dragging or clicking on the Upload a file or drag and drop box. We recommend 750px x 460px.

    • Click X at the top right to exit out of the Card image manager.

    • Click Save at the top right and preview your designs on the page.

3. Branding is where you can customize to match your brand

  • Add your logo or a branded banner image under Header banner image. Upload by dragging or clicking on the Upload a file or drag and drop box.

  • Adjust the page colors using the Color section, and previewing how they look on the right

  • And choose your font using the Font selector

  • Click Save at the top right and preview your changes

4. Translation is where you can customize the text on the Gift to a friend page.

  • Edit the text you want to change

  • Click Save at the top right and preview your changes

5. Video settings is where you can enable video messaging. This allows customers to record or upload a 60-second video message that will be sent to the recipient in the gift card email. By default, video messaging is set to OFF.

  • To enable video messaging, toggle it on

  • Click Save at the top right and preview

You can also customize the gifting email the recipient receives (which is previewed in the Gift to a friend page). Go to the Gift card gifted email.
