  • Maximize Efficiency: Set up once and watch your marketing run smoothly in the background, freeing up valuable time.

How Automation works

Wrapped's Automation feature allows you to trigger the generation and sending of gift cards to customers based on buying behavior.

When setting up your automation, you'll be able to set the trigger and order rules, specify the promotional gift card amount and expiry and design an email notification to deliver your promotional gift cards. To set up your own automations, follow the steps below.

Marketing Automations are on Wrapped's Pro, Plus and Enterprise plans. You can manage your plan under settings > billing.

There are three types of automations you can set up, each with flexibility to encourage the spending behavior you want from your customers.

  • Buy a gift card, get a gift card on us

  • Make a purchase, get a gift card

  • Buy select products, get a gift card

Note: for automations to send to customers who purchase in-store via POS, a customer with an email address must be added to the sale in order for Wrapped to send the digital gift card.

Setting up an automation

  1. In Wrapped, go to Marketing > Automations and click Create automation

  • Order paid: For incentivizing a purchase over a certain value or a certain product. You can specify minimum order amount and any product IDs.

  • Gift card purchased: For incentivizing the purchase of a gift card of a certain value. This option will send a second gift card to the buyer when they meet your purchase amount rule.

8. When you are ready to turn your automation on, click Activate at the top right. Otherwise, click Save changes.

Next, promote your gift card promotion

For a gift card automation to be successful in incentivizing your desired behavior, you'll want to promote it so that customers know to meet your trigger conditions on their purchase. A few ideas to promote your gift card automation are:

  • In-store posters/signage

  • Social media posts and ads

  • A website feature/banner

  • Send a promotional email using your email platform
