How can I improve email deliverability for gift card emails in Wrapped?

Improve your email deliverability by updating your DNS.

Written by Robbie Morris

When customers fail to receive gift card emails, it is often due to issues relating to email deliverability. This includes unauthenticated sender domains and misconfigured email settings, which can lead to emails being flagged as spam or filtered out by email systems.

Sender domain authentication is a critical process that verifies your emails are sent on behalf of your business domain. This ensures trustworthiness, improves email deliverability, and minimizes the chances of emails ending up in spam folders.

Instructions for adding your sender domain to Wrapped

  1. Log in to your Wrapped account and navigate to Settings > Sender Domains.

  2. Under Manage Your Sender Domains, click Add New Domain.

  3. Request the verification email, then open your inbox and confirm that you own the domain.

  4. Return to Wrapped and click Check DNS to display the required DNS records.

  5. Copy the CNAME, S1, and S2 domain key records, then add them to your domain host's DNS settings.

  6. Return to Wrapped and tick the confirmation box to indicate the DNS records have been added.

  7. Once your DNS changes have propagated, your domain will be fully authenticated and ready to send emails.

Important: Only fully authenticated domains are used to send emails. Unverified domains can reduce email deliverability, so ensure the verification process is completed before going live. This can take up to 24 hours.

Improve Email Deliverability with Subject Lines

Adding the word “Confirmation” to your email subject lines can help improve delivery rates. For example:

  • “Gift Card Updated – Confirmation”

  • “Gift Card Issued – Confirmation”

Always double-check your DNS settings if you experience deliverability issues.

If you experience deliverability issues and your domain is fully verified, contact support@wrappedgiftcards.com for assistance.
