Using physical gift cards

Wrapped works to wrap digital and physical gift cards together so they can be used as one across all your sales channels. If you sell physical gift cards in-store there are a couple of things to do first:

  1. Check your physical cards' codes are suitable:

    • Randomly generated (this helps keep codes secure)

    • Alpha-numerical digits

    • Barcode that works with your POS scanner and maps to the gift card code

If you need new gift cards printed you can bulk generate them and send them to a card printer.

If you need physical cards printed, we recommend our partners Plastic Printers for free custom design and fast world-wide delivery. They'll help to ensure your codes meet the above requirements too.

2. Import your codes into Wrapped with a balance of 0, to save the codes ready for activation and top up (unless you generated these in Wrapped already using the batches bulk generator).

How to use physical gift cards at POS

Wrapped has been built to work with existing processes for selling and accepting gift cards. Simply scan the gift card or enter the code at POS to activate/sell and accept as payment. See detailed instructions here:
