How does the Wrapped gift card allowance work?

Wrapped pricing plans are comprised of two parts:

  1. A fixed monthly subscription fee - which includes a gift card allowance.

  2. Overages - charged on gift card sales that exceed the included gift card allowance.

  • On our monthly plans, the gift card allowance resets at the beginning of each new billing cycle.

  • On our annual plans, we offer the gift card allowance for the year upfront - great for seasonality like busy gifting periods around Christmas.

What counts towards the allowance?

  • Any gift card (physical or digital) that is loaded with a balance during the billing period will count towards the allowance. This might be from a purchase made online, at POS, or through an automation/return.

What doesn't count towards the allowance?

  • Codes generated as a batch to send to a gift card printer (these have a $0 balance - see instructions below)

  • Gift cards that are imported to Wrapped during the free trial period

  • Gift cards redeemed for loyalty reward points via our Marsello integration

Wrapped does not supply physical cards, however, you can bulk generate a batch of unique codes to send to a printer for new cards via the Wrapped dashboard.

If you have existing physical gift cards, you may be able to continue using them with Wrapped - provided they meet the requirements here.
