Onboarding guide for Lightspeed Golf Accounts

A complete step-by-step guide to preparing your Wrapped account for launch.

Written by Robbie Morris

Important: Complete every step in this guide before launching your gift card program. Skipping any step may result in your gift cards, webstore, or customer communications not functioning as expected.

To begin the onboarding process, you will need to create a Wrapped account and add payment details to commence your trial period.

Step 1: Connect Lightspeed Retail to Wrapped

Complete the connection process by following the Lightspeed Retail Integration Guide. Once your Lightspeed Retail account has been successfully connected, return to this guide to continue with onboarding.

Step 2: Connect Lightspeed Restaurant to Wrapped

Complete the connection process by following the Lightspeed Restaurant Integration Guide for K-Series or L-Series. Once your Lightspeed Restaurant account has been successfully connected, return to this guide to continue with onboarding.

Step 3: Create your Wrapped Webstore to sell gift cards online

  1. From the Wrapped dashboard, navigate to Webstore > Settings and connect a Stripe account to accept payment for gift cards into your connected bank account.

We use Stripe's globally-trusted payment infrastructure to power payments for your Webstore. Stripe recommends you connect a new Stripe account to Wrapped.

  2. Once your Stripe account is connected, navigate to Webstore > Products to create your online gift card product. For detailed instructions on completing each field in the product template, refer to our Creating Your Gift Card Product help guide.

Step 4: Customize your gift card program

Create beautifully branded gift cards that your customers will love.

  • Navigate to Branding > assets to customize your Apple and Google Wallet passes and PDF designs.

For a detailed guide on how to customize your gift card emails, visit our support guide here.

Step 5: Review your gift card settings

In Wrapped, you can customize both the expiry details and the length of your gift card codes. Wrapped recommends a minimum code length of 8 digits for security reasons.

Note: Countries have different laws for gift card expiry dates. Check the laws for your country before setting this date.

Step 6: Add your sender domain

It's important to update your sender domain to ensure your gift card emails actually reach your customers' inboxes instead of being marked as spam.

  1. Navigate to Settings > sender domains in the Wrapped Dashboard.

  2. Add your sender domain and request the verification email.

  3. Once you have completed the email verification, return to Wrapped and click "Check DNS". Copy the CNAME, S1, and S2 domain key records.

  4. Add the DNS records to your domain provider's control panel.

  5. Return to Wrapped and check the box to indicate you have entered the DNS records .

  6. Check to ensure your domain is fully authenticated in the Wrapped dashboard (it can take up to 24 hours for any DNS updates to take effect).

Note: Always double-check your DNS settings if you experience deliverability issues.

Step 7: Migrate existing gift cards to Wrapped

Existing gift cards can be migrated to Wrapped using our Batch Import feature. To complete the import, you'll need to prepare an Excel spreadsheet containing each gift card's code and balance, along with any customer details and expiry dates you wish to migrate.

You can complete the migration yourself (once all steps above are complete) or email the spreadsheet to our support team (support@wrappedgiftcards.com), who can complete the migration for you.
